Senior Management

Preeti Telang - Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Preeti Telang has over 20 years of experience in the development sector, specifically in the area of Development Communication. During her career she has developed and designed training modules, conducted Training of Trainers and also conducted a number of communication skills workshops for NGOs and grass root workers. She has worked with different marginalised groups like women, street children, sex workers, MSM groups and people living in slum communities.

Since 2008, Ms. Telang has been associated with Swadhaar in providing Financial Education and Financial Inclusion for the urban slum dwellers in Mumbai and Gujarat (India). She was involved in researching, designing and developing the Financial Education Programme for women living in urban slum communities. She currently leads all the customer protection and social performance initiatives in Swadhaar and also heads the staff training department.

Ms. Telang holds an MBA degree in Social Entrepreneurship from SVKMs Narsee Monjee School of Business Management and a Masters of Social Work from Mumbai University.

Middle Management

Ms. Bhakti Palande - Deputy Manager, Financial Education Programme
Bhakti has spent 5 years with Swadhaar FinAccess. She is responsible for developing and designing the SFA training modules as well as for the execution of the training. Bhakti has completed two internships previously; wherein she was involved in non-formal education for girls as well as the formulation of self-help groups for women. Bhakti has a Masters degree in Social Work from SNDT Womens University, Mumbai.

Ms. Apexa Patel - Programme Manager
Apexa has been with Swadhaar FinAccess since 4 years and is responsible for SFA operations in Gujarat. She is responsible for all Gujarat interventions, undertaking the functions of resource mobilization, planning, training, administrative functions as well as managerial functions. Previously, Apexa was working with Shroffs Foundation Trust where she was involved in the formation of self-help groups and indoor training. She has also worked with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad on government research projects. Apexa has a bachelor of law degree, a masters in social work and a P.G. Diploma in NGO management.

Ms. Jamuna Khatri - Assistant Manager, Financial Education Programme
Jamuna has completed 6+ years in Swadhaar FinAccess. She is responsible for monitoring 8 of our Financial Inclusion & Literacy Centres (FILCs) in Mumbai. She also looks into productivity optimization, capacity building for the team and revenue generation of the FILCs. Before joining SFA Jamuna has been a primary teacher, mahila mandal worker and volunteer over a period of 11 years.

Field Trainers and Mobilisers

The field team comprises qualified and experienced trainers and community mobilizers. They are involved in establishing direct contact with the women in the slum communities, mobilizing them, conducting the training programmes and follow-up.

The backbone of our organization consists of the Trainers and Mobilisers, who go out into the community everyday and bring to fruit, our vision for financial inclusion.
