SFA Associate Programme

SFA offers an Associate Programme to both graduates and post graduates with inclination to seek an exposure to urban poverty reduction.

The programme offers the associates an opportunity to work on a project basis usually over 3 months and up to a year. The associate stands to gain a first hand experience and insight into functioning of a non-profit in the space of urban financial inclusion.

The associates may write to us with their specific focus areas (not more than 2) that may be categorized as follows:
  1. Communication, PR and Resource Mobilization
  2. Finance
  3. Marketing
  4. MIS
  5. Operations
  6. Product Development
  7. Financial Education : Research and Content Development
The associates will be assigned a supervisor/guide from within SFA for the term of project.

What the Associates can expect:
  1. An opportunity to work on a real time project/assignment requiring practical inputs and solutions.
  2. Work closely with SFA’s team at the head office as well as in the field.
  3. Firsthand experience of a non-profit’s way of working on a unique cause at micro-level but with a macro impact.
  4. Develop an ability to empathize with the challenging socio-economic conditions of urban slum dwellers, especially women..
  5. In-depth understanding about financial literacy and various customized financial products and services viz. savings, insurance and loans that the market has to offer to this segment.
